This is our story.

We exist to inspire positive, radical change in our clients, employees, and profession through partnering and collaboration

We dare to dream.  We believe to realise a dream, you need people; That two heads are better than one; and four heads are better than two.  Partnership is in our blood and deeply embedded within our culture.

When our Directors started the business as Dobbyn and Carafa in 2006, they had a dream of not only creating a firm that partnered with their clients, but partnered with their staff along their journey too.  

In 2019, we became part of the MGI Worldwide network of Accountants, not only expanding our access to greater networks to solve client problems, but providing extra opportunity for our staff to grow too.

In 2021, we delivered our Pathway to Partnership Program, which saw 6 of our brightest leaders being offered equity to our business.  This means that 1/5th of our staff now own a stake in our firm.

In 2022, we launched our MGI Graduate Program, in which we partner with our graduates in their professional development through a 12 month technical program, as part of a national cohort with MGI Australasia.  These latest intiatives are the reason why we evolved our brand to MGI Dobbyn Carafa: A tip of the hat to our past; but to an exciting future with our next generation of leaders.

Our values are the core of everything we do

Our values were created during our annual company conference in October 2011. As a group, we collaboratively described the overall culture and environment of the firm. 

These values run through the very core of our business from recruitment to performance reviews and we ensure that all our employees align with these values, to truly live and breathe them.
