Yes, lodgement of a tax return is a requirement for nearly all Australians, and it is best to get in touch with us to clarify whether a lodgement is required or not.
As your appointed Tax Agent, we’ll have access to a range of information collated by the ATO helping to streamline the process and will provide you with an information request of documents that we’ll required you to collate to assist us with preparing your tax return.
The collation of supporting accurate and detailed documentation is critical in ensuring that the lodged return is compliant, and we’ll partner with you in ensuring that this occurs.
The due date of your Tax Return is dependent on a range of factors which we can communicate to you when appointed as your tax return but generally for individuals the due date is typically 15 May which an extension on the 31 October deadline when completing the return yourself.
Our job to is ensure that mistakes don’t happen when completing your return, however this can occur and there is a process of lodging an amended return should something be accidently omitted.
